We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Chainbase AVS Mainnet, a groundbreaking milestone in decentralized data infrastructure. Built on our robust four-layer architecture, the Chainbase Mainnet is designed to meet the growing demands of Web3 and AI-driven applications with unparalleled scalability, security, and data accessibility.
Why Chainbase AVS?
Founded in 2022, Chainbase is a leading Web3 data network dedicated to creating an open, collaborative, incentivized and AI-ready data economy. With the rapid growth of our developer community and increasing blockchain data demands, we have created Chainbase AVS that is integrated with EigenLayer’s restaking mechanism in order to enhance scalability and decentralization of onchain data processing workflow. During the AVS testnet phase, 1,700 operators joined and 200,000 ETH were staked, setting the stage for a successful mainnet launch.
Execution Layer on Mainnet
At the core of the Chainbase Mainnet lies its four-layer architecture, meticulously designed to streamline blockchain data processing while ensuring scalability and reliability. A fundamental component of this architecture is the Execution Layer, which cooperates with Chainbase AVS. The Execution Layer manages the heavy lifting of data processing, facilitating seamless interaction with Manuscripts, Chainbase’s powerful data processing framework for decentralized applications and AI-driven use cases.
The Execution Layer is now live on EigenLayer: Explore it here.
AVS Mainnet Functionality Roadmap
The Chainbase AVS enables a suite of robust features designed to empower developers and enable seamless data processing for decentralized applications and AI-driven solutions. At its core is the ability to transform raw blockchain data into standardized, AI-ready formats using Manuscripts. In collaboration with Google Gemini, OpenAI and other sophisticated open source models, Chainbase network offers AI-ready workflows to all developers, providing a streamlined approach to preparing and utilizing blockchain data for advanced applications and AI inferences. For developers who are eager to get started, a step-by-step tutorial of how to create and use manuscript is available in our previous article.
It is worth noting that the Chainbase Virtual Machine (CVM) lies at the heart of the data processing workflow, enabling the seamless execution of complex Manuscripts. This virtual environment is crucial for large-scale AI data processing, offering developers a reliable and scalable environment to manage data-intensive tasks efficiently.
To foster a transparent and collaborative network, the Chainbase introduces the $C token as part of its incentivization system. Manuscript creators, data providers, network operators, and validators are rewarded for their contributions to the network, ensuring the production of high-quality data and the active participation of all stakeholders.
Accelerating AI is Chainbase’s focal mission. Looking ahead, Chainbase will continue advancing Manuscripts specifically designed for AI model fine-tuning and training. Those enhancements will provide developers with flexibility they need to create and optimize machine learning algorithms directly within the Chainbase ecosystem. Additionally, the network will expand its data sources to include real-time IoT streams and other diverse datasets, enriching the data accessibility to developers and broadening the data infrastructure's utility across industries.
Celebrating AVS Mainnet Operators
To ensure the stability, performance, and decentralization of the Chainbase AVS, Chainbase strategically selected 20 top-tier operators that represent diversity in multiple angles. These operators are the backbone of the Execution Layer, playing a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, reliability, and scalability of the network.
The Execution Layer is pivotal in transforming raw blockchain data into actionable insights, and the operators are responsible for validating, processing, and securing this critical data flow. By leveraging the decentralized architecture powered by EigenLayer, these operators not only reinforce the network’s security but also demonstrate its ability to handle complex workloads, such as real-time AI data processing.
